About Christine

Christine Mike-Nnaji's artistic journey is a remarkable testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the transformative power of art. Born in Galway, Ireland, and rooted in Nigerian heritage, Christine embarked on her path as an artist at the age of 18, amidst the challenging circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic in February 2021.

Through the strokes of her paintbrush, she experienced a profound metamorphosis, discovering her voice, language, and unparalleled self-awareness as an individual on the autism spectrum. Her art, a vibrant symphony of colors and emotions, has not only captivated global audiences but also earned her recognition on prestigious platforms like the BBC, REUTERS, and GTBank.

Recently showcased at the esteemed National Museums of Kenya in Nairobi for the YATO Art in Autism Festival, Christine's work beautifully showcases the diversity and unique perspectives that autism brings to the art world. Beyond her canvases, Christine embodies courage, determination, and the unwavering spirit of a true artist, inspiring others to embrace their individuality and unleash their creative potential. With each stroke, Christine's art serves as a beacon of hope, reminding us of the limitless possibilities that reside within each of us.
